Last Minute Updates

Hello, PCA community!

We have a few pertinent changes with Open House and the 1st day of school.

Our open house ideas did not receive much response. We had planned to do it Thursday, September 5th in the evening, but unfortunately, Samantha is sick and Nikki has not been able to use her phone for a few days. Between icky germs and lack of communicational ability +not having interest in the event we have decided to cancel it altogether.

That said, Nikki had already been advocating to do it during what would be regular Monday hours instead of the Prayeravan at the local schools. Her thoughts were that we could combine the Open House and the Meet the Teachers and give kids a preview of what the school days will look like so when they come in the next day they can have more excitement than anxiety. We were also both pretty worried about having students and community members being in the heat that much.

As a result, instead of the Prayeravan September 9th, we will be at The Truth Church AKA Proverbs Christian Academy headquarters during the same hours as the Prayeravan would have been and normal Monday/Friday hours will be.

The Prayeravan we still want to do; we are postponing it for next month, when the weather will hopefully be more conducive to such an event.

9:30-2:00, including a half hour lunch break at 12:00, we will be at the school organizing supplies, having our own practice day, and being ready to say hello!
